Joseph Doe was born 9th February 1908 in Christchurch Dorset; he was the son of Alfred Doe and Ann Nora Driscoll. He married Emily Matilda Scott on 2nd July 1938 and they had a daughter named after his mother, Nora Ann Doe in 1928.Joseph served in the Hampshire Regiment his service number was 5494813, in 1942 he was in North Africa and died serving for his country. He died 3rd December 1942 aged 34 years old. He is buried at Massicault War Cemetery Tun 3 in Tunisia.
